FOR GROWN-UPS · NOTICE VERSION 2026-09-v1

A little information.
A lot of care.

Children can open the games without creating an account. Parent login is optional and enables family profiles and cloud progress saving.

Guest play

Supported game progress, preferences and completion activity are saved in this browser. These are not sent to the family database until a parent explicitly chooses a child profile and confirms transfer. Clearing browser data can remove guest saves. Different people using the same browser may share guest progress: only transfer records that belong to the chosen child.

Family accounts

Supabase Auth processes the parent’s mobile number and login codes through the configured SMS provider. A child profile stores a nickname, class and a chosen avatar. Do not enter a child’s full name, phone number, email, school, exact birthday or address. Cloud records contain game scores, experiment checkpoints, completed activities, saved discovery-card identifiers and approximate active time in completed rounds.

Why we save it

These records let your family resume discoveries, see personal bests, choose between children and view a parent summary. Scores are personal play records, not verified assessments. This release does not send behavioral analytics to an advertising system, create public profiles, or provide a public leaderboard.

Shiku and external services

When you use Shiku, your questions and, when you choose the microphone, audio are sent through the Kiddora server to the configured AI and speech providers. These may include Groq and ElevenLabs. Audio and chat transcripts are not copied into this family-progress database. Provider processing and retention are governed by their policies. Please supervise voice/AI use and do not include personal information in questions.

The website host, authentication service, SMS provider and other requested third-party services may process technical logs such as network addresses. Animal recordings need an external audio host. The Supabase browser library loads from a pinned jsDelivr URL when account features are used; a CAPTCHA service is contacted during login when configured.

Read with Shiku

Reading microphone checks are optional. Before recording, a parent or guardian reviews a separate notice. When you choose Finish & check, up to 25 seconds of microphone audio and the displayed, fixed English sentence travel through Kiddora to Microsoft Azure Speech for pronunciation assessment. An automatically completed 25-second clip follows the same check. Cancel before sending to discard it. Leaving the page stops the microphone; a request already sent may still finish at the provider.

Kiddora processes reading audio in memory, does not write it to files or cloud storage, and does not store the recognized transcript or numerical pronunciation scores. It keeps the story ID, sentence indexes read, and positions of words practised, plus completed-check events. Guest records stay in this browser; enabled family saving can sync them to the chosen child profile. Azure processing follows Microsoft’s applicable service and data terms. Review these terms and your region before activation.

The reading permission cookie expires after an hour and can be revoked from the activity. It is a session acknowledgement, not verified age or legal guardianship. The operator must establish the appropriate parental-consent process before enabling this for children. Audio feedback can be wrong, especially with background noise or differing accents. It is not a clinical diagnosis, verified literacy assessment, or basis for high-stakes educational decisions. Shiku’s read-aloud playback uses the configured TTS provider or browser voice; only the displayed story text is needed for playback.

Devices and sessions

Family progress uses separate browser caches for each parent and child. “Keep me signed in” stores a session on this device; leave it off on shared devices. A profile chooser is not a separate security boundary between children in the same family. Sign out after using a shared device. Sign-out removes that family’s caches from this browser, after warning about unsynced progress.

Your choices

In the parent dashboard, edit a child’s nickname, class and avatar, export their records as JSON, or permanently delete the child profile and its cloud records. Deleting a child profile does not delete the parent’s authentication account. Stop cloud saving by signing out and returning to guest play. Copies already exported or caches on other offline devices cannot be remotely erased immediately; those devices must connect to receive the change.

For parent account deletion, data questions, correction or concerns, contact the Kiddora site operator. The operator must publish its identity, contact details, retention periods and applicable consent process before a public family-account launch.

Parent acknowledgement

Login verifies access to a phone, not a person’s age or legal relationship with a child. A checkbox declaration is not independent age verification or a guarantee of valid parental consent under applicable law. The site operator must review the appropriate consent and privacy process before offering child cloud profiles publicly.

Optional parent updates

If you choose Keep me updated, we save your parent name, WhatsApp number, the exact consent notice and version, time and website source in Kiddora’s protected server-side database. No child details are requested. These details are used only for the product updates and offers you consent to; they are not sent to analytics or used to unlock samples. WhatsApp delivery is not active yet.

We retain interest details for up to 90 days after the latest submission, with automatic cleanup while the service is running. You can withdraw and remove your saved interest at any time using Remove my details on the homepage in the browser where you submitted. The browser keeps an anonymous removal key, not your name or phone number. If you clear it or use another browser, submit the same parent number again on the homepage, then choose Remove my details. Your learning account and history are separate.

Your personal Kiddora welcome

When you request a welcome on our app landing page, we save your name, WhatsApp number, registration date, exact permission and its version in protected registration records and a restricted Google Sheet used by Team Kiddora. Our team personally shares welcome, account and app setup details. The form does not send an automatic message or create an account, and your number is not verified at this step.

We also save the entry page, referral domain, campaign labels where provided, language, time zone, device category, and submission count to help us understand registrations and support onboarding. We do not add child names, microphone recordings, precise location or device fingerprints to this registration. This permission is separate from marketing offers. You can ask us to correct or remove your welcome details, or stop contacting you, using the privacy contact on this page or by replying to our team.

Optional Lahari conversations on the app landing page

Tap Lahari to start a voice conversation. If microphone access is off, use Enable microphone; your browser controls its microphone permission. The green wave appears only during an active microphone turn and follows the sound level. After you speak, 1.5 seconds of quiet ends the turn. You can stop at any time, and recording stops when you leave or hide the page, open the welcome form, or end the conversation.

To understand and reply, Kiddora temporarily captures a short audio turn and sends it to Groq for speech recognition. The question and a small amount of conversation context are used to prepare an AI reply. The reply text is sent to ElevenLabs to make Lahari’s voice. Kiddora does not persist preview audio, transcripts or chat history in its database, registration records or Google Sheet. A small conversation context is held in browser memory while you talk and is cleared when the conversation ends. Processing providers handle requests under their own data policies. Please avoid sharing names, contact details or other private information in a voice question.

Voice is optional. The activities work without a microphone, and saved activity narration only plays audio. Existing family-account voice choices continue to apply when you are signed in. Lahari is an AI learning guide and can make mistakes; a grown-up can help check an answer.

Shiku and the Class 4 pilot

Shiku sends your question, up to eight recent messages and a small game context to Groq. Microphone audio is sent to Groq only after Finish & send. Optional speech uses the configured voice service or your device. Do not include names, contact details, passwords or addresses. The server does not persist or log raw conversations or recordings. Provider retention depends on the account's settings; this is not a promise of zero provider retention.

The recent conversation lives only in this browser tab's session storage and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. New conversation, profile changes and logout clear it. The Class 4 learning record and four new Fun games are stored locally for the selected profile. New cloud saving and database changes have not been added. Clear the pilot record from its learning record page.

Ask a grown-up to review cloud chat before using it. This checkbox is a notice acknowledgement, not verified parental consent. Provider/minor-use terms, retention configuration, teacher review and physical-device testing need review before a public child-facing rollout.
